Home practice and rehearsal preparation for October 5-6

Learn YOUR assigned part BEFORE you arrive at rehearsal.

Rehearsal time should be used to put the music together.

He's Got the Whole World in His Hands - All sing melody all verses - Breathe only after the word "hand". Secure pitches - 2nd line "He's" is sung on "mi" NOT "sol."

Evening Prayer - Humperdinck - Be prepared to sing one on a part - SA - Secure intonation from the bottom of first page to the end.

Learn from Home Alone - Somewhere in My Memory - all learn melody.

Learn from Home Alone - Merry Christmas - sopranos part 1, altos part 2. 

Learn the first four pages of "Hallelujah Chorus" with solfege & words - SA

Song of the Stars - Make knowing your part for this top priority this week!

Evening Prayer - Humperdinck - Be prepared to sing one on a part from memory.

Our only rehearsal with the RSO conductor before we get with the orchestra has now been set for Tuesday, October 20, 6:15-7:45 p.m. at Grace & Holy Trinity. We will audition soloists and rehearse together Evening Prayer and the rhythmically challenging Song of the Stars.

Wade in the Water - Altos practice clapping. Mezzos secure intonation on oohs. We will sing this a little slower than we did at camp, but it still needs lots of energy!

 

Cantare Choir

Prayer of Desmond Tutu - PA -SA; Cav-TB - TOP PRIORITY!  Know parts & memorize. We need to have at least 2 or 3 people learn the soprano solo in this piece! The solo is open to any Pro Arte member.
