Week of October 19, 2015

What a fantastic week we have had! Congratulations to all GRCC choristers on your soulful singing with Dr. Paul Kwami at First African Baptist Church last Saturday, October 17! It was a memorable event for all involved. Not only did you sing well, but you made it an enjoyable day from start to finish with your good spirits and flexibility. Thank you!

Many thanks to Mr. Hyde and the Cantare Choir for the great photo session on Monday! You will be seeing the good results of that very soon.

Kudos to Concert & Pro Arte Choirs for your excellent preparation and focused rehearsal Tuesday night with Richmond Symphony Conductor Keitaro Harada on Evening Prayer and Song of the Stars. Congratulations to Kennedy Johnson, Nyla Harris, Jack Rigdon, Madeline Rigdon, Dorcas Afolayan and Nina Bartlett who were chosen by the conductor to be the solo semi-chorus the first time through Evening Prayer at both of the "Let It Snow" performances. Thank you to all of you who auditioned for the part.

Additional solo opportunity in either Pro Arte or Concert Choir: There is a small reading/acting part for another piece on the "Let It Snow" concerts that will need to be filled by an elementary-aged girl. If you are interested in finding out more and trying out for this, contact Mrs. Hope by phone or email as soon as you read this to set up a time to audition. The reader has to be chosen by Tues. October 27!
