Home practice preparation for Nov. 2-3 Rehearsals

Please learn YOUR assigned part BEFORE you arrive at rehearsal.

Rehearsal time should be used to put the music together.

Concert Choir - Be prepared for Nov. 2 rehearsal

May God Be Merciful to Us - Know your part to the end. All sing 1st verse in unison.

Verses 2 & 3 these choristers sing Voice part 1: Faith, Kamirra, Nina, Noelle, Austyn

Verses 2 & 3 these choristers sing Voice part 2: Lauren, Wesley, Sophie, Lily, Léa

Verses 2 & 3 these choristers sing Voice part 3: Brock, Kaylan, Cameron, Colin, Xander

Mattaponi Song of Gratitude - Learn first five unison lines only in solfege and with text.

He's Got the Whole World in His Hands - Review in the slower version we learned.

Evening Prayer - Humperdinck- Use good breath support and open throat. Listen for good intonation. Incorporate dynamics and ritard Mr. Kei gave you on Oct. 20th.

Colin and Austyn be prepared to sing solo duet for Nov. 24th.

Psalm 126. We want 3 solo cantors for the 3 verses of Psalm. Learn all 3. If you need help understanding the pointing, email Ms. Hope to set up an individual session.

Evening Prayer - Humperdinck- Use good breath support and open throat. Listen for good intonation. Incorporate dynamics and ritard Mr. Kei gave you on Oct. 20th. Dorcas and Nina be prepared to sing solo duet at Nov. 13 concert.

Song of the Stars - Learn dynamics and tempo changes. Clean up any note issues, especially "chase a bear" section!

Wade in the Water - Practice with the metronome to steady the rhythm. It had good energy on Saturday, but the tempo is still rushing in all parts.
