Hope Passes the Baton!

Last month, Founding Artistic Director Hope Armstrong Erb shared the following news in a letter to members:

Dear GRCC Family,

...After 20 wonderful years guiding a generation of choristers to the highest musical achievement through personal daily practice and commitment to each other, I have decided that this 2016-17 season will be my last. I am pleased to be leaving you in good hands. Crystal Jonkman will move into the position of GRCC Artistic Director this summer. Pete Curry and Anne Williford will continue in their current positions and Grace & Holy Trinity Episcopal Church will continue to be the rehearsal home. While there may be organizational changes, the mission of GRCC will remain the same.

GRCC Mission Statement

GRCC is dedicated to bringing together boys and girls from diverse backgrounds to experience the joy of singing and to gain a life-long love for good music through age-appropriate vocal training. The GRCC strives to nurture the unique gift each child brings, to encourage all to reach for excellence, and ultimately, to create responsible and compassionate citizens of the world.

Next year I look forward to having more time to focus on my own piano performances, private studio teaching, and being with my far-flung family.

For now, I am excited to finish out this season singing some of my all-time favorite music with some of my all-time favorite people. It has been a pleasure to make music with you all these years, and I will continue to cheer you from the sidelines as Artistic Director Emeritus.

With gratitude and best wishes for continued success,

Hope Armstrong Erb
